Learn more about the history of the Philippines!Winner of the App for Social Good Award of the 2019 Android Masters competition organized by Google Developer Group Philippines and Eclaro.Panandâ lets you explore the historical markers installed by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) and its predecessor agencies. The app currently contains data on 1,235 historical markers and links to 1,652 photos.Browse the historical markers either on an interactive map or as a list, and you can bookmark individual historical markers or mark them as visited. The app also has a filter feature that shows you markers by region or markers that are near you if you enable GPS.Panandâ uses data from Wikidata and photos from Wikimedia Commons, which are sister projects of Wikipedia.
